Oblivion
The collection Oblivion is complex and controversial. It takes its inspiration from a seductive, witchy diva and is dealing a lot with symbolism and spirituality. The part of the labyrinth which can be seen in every outfit through the massive strips, embroidery and selfdesigned print is metaphoric to our personal thoughts and feelings, in which we can get lost. On the other hand is the witch a symbolism for our transcendental self and inner magical power . Supported with tarot cards included within the clothes. All different aspects are elaborated enchanted and bewildered, equally through the massive volume but also provocative suspender pieces, knitwear, the mirror headpiece and delicate fabrics such as velvet, silk and pure cashmere. Lila, the colour for spirituality brings light in the collection whereas black is used to submit the unknown, mysterious darkness.
Are you on the way to yourself or on the way to get lost?
BITTERSWEET
The collection BITTERSWEET is a fusion of PRISON and BARBIE. The iron-
skirt, the
iron headpieces as well as the voluminous tubes represent the cage. The combination of black & pink
symbolizes
the contrast of bitter and sweet in a dramatic and surrealistic way. The opposite of black for me is
not white-
it's pink ! The knitwear garment and the iron constructions are fully made by hands. The translation
of the
artistic interpretation into a real life of a person is raising awareness to break free from mental
constriction.
There are so many prisons, so many invisible- because they only exist in people's mind. Awarded
between 2017- 2018 with the A
Design Award in category Fashion Design Silver, the IDA Design Award- Haute C outure: Gold
, Avant Garde: Bronze
Dear Future Self
The collection Dear Future Self consists of the combination of the past and the future as well as candy. The appearance is a conflation of feminine, majestic and luxurious medieval clothes as well as futuristic, metallic- robot components in and enhanced way. In addition to that it gets that kittenish touch of candy in colours and details.
